Our Mission & History

To identify causes and conditions of poverty among low to moderate incomes households in Autuaga, Chilton, Elmore and Shelby counties by providing services and programs to enhance the quality of life. Community Action Partnership of Middle Alabama Inc (CAPMA), is driven by helping families.  Achieve goals and objectives moving from the abstract idea of eliminating poverty to the achievements of self-sufficiency on an individual and/or family basis. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive strategic studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive partnerships and make a positive impact.

CAPMA is in the business of changing and shaping lives, & the work is aimed at providing a realistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities. By doing so, we offer a variety of services to promote self-sufficiency.
